Bulk-pack square weld nuts in 18-8 (A2) Stainless Steel to DIN 928. Square body to DIN 928, with four projections, one at each corner — more weld points and a larger footprint than the hexagon form. Weld nuts give a permanent, reusable thread in sheet metal that is too thin to tap. The small raised projections concentrate the current of a resistance (spot) welder and melt down, fusing the nut flush to the workpiece; the thread is then captive and cannot spin or fall out. Standard in automotive, enclosure, bracketry, chassis and appliance fabrication. 4 sizes (M5-0.8–M10-1.5). Sold in bulk multiples.
