Bulk-pack M6-1.0 hex weld nuts in 316 (A4) Stainless Steel to DIN 929. Hexagon body to DIN 929, with three equally spaced projections and a centre pilot ring that locates the nut in the pilot hole. Weld nuts give a permanent, reusable thread in sheet metal that is too thin to tap. The small raised projections concentrate the current of a resistance (spot) welder and melt down, fusing the nut flush to the workpiece; the thread is then captive and cannot spin or fall out. Standard in automotive, enclosure, bracketry, chassis and appliance fabrication. Across flats 11mm, height 5mm. Sold in bulk multiples.
