#8 x 1/2" Phillips truss head self drilling screws (tek screws) with a #1 drill point, in 18-8 stainless steel to IFI-113. The drill point cuts its own hole and the self-drilling thread (8-18) taps it in one step, with no pilot hole, in light-gauge steel up to about 0.050" (18 ga). The low, wide truss head spreads the load over thin sheet, with a #2 Phillips recess. 18-8 stainless self-drillers are softer than 410 and are best for aluminium and light-gauge steel; for heavier steel use 410. Sold in production-volume bulk packs.
