5/16" x 2" hex washer head self drilling screws (tek screws) with a #3 drill point, in zinc-plated steel to IFI-113. The drill point cuts its own hole and the self-drilling thread (5/16-12) taps it in one step, with no pilot hole, in steel about 0.100" to 0.175" thick (12 to 7 ga). The hex head has a built-in washer face that spreads the load, with a 1/2" external hex for a nut driver or socket. Case-hardened steel with a clear zinc plating for light corrosion protection in indoor or dry locations. Sold in production-volume bulk packs.
