#14 x 1-7/8" Phillips Wafer Head Self Drilling Screws #3 Drill Point Steel Silver Fluoropolymer Coated

#14 x 1-7/8" Phillips wafer head self drilling screws (tek screws) with a #3 drill point, in case-hardened steel to IFI-113. The drill point cuts its own hole and the self-drilling thread (1/4-14) taps it in one step, with no pilot hole, in steel about 0.100" to 0.175" thick (12 to 7 ga). The wafer head is extra wide (0.620") and very thin at the edge, so it suits fastening wood or other soft material to steel and sits nearly flush. It has a #3 Phillips recess. A silver fluoropolymer coating gives more corrosion protection than plain zinc. Case-hardened carbon steel is hard enough for the point to drill steel reliably. Sold in production-volume bulk packs.
