1/2-13 thin nylon insert lock nuts (light hex, thin height — NTM #-sizes / NTE fractional sizes, made to ESNA dimensions) in 18-8 stainless steel, wax coated finish. Shorter than a standard nylon insert lock nut, for joints where too little thread projects through to use a full-height nut; the nylon ring grips the bolt thread to resist loosening from vibration. Thin-pattern nuts are made for limited-clearance applications rather than as primary load-bearing nuts. A dry wax coating lubricates the thread for smoother, more consistent tightening and helps prevent galling. Sold in production-volume bulk packs.
